Color The New Year

Banana Republic Camden Fit Ankle Pant - Flirty pink

I am the type of person whose body shape finds it hard to look good in anything but skinny jeans. The minute I try actual pants on something goes wrong. They are too tight, too loose, this color doesn't suit me, the pockets make me look weird, the waist is too low, the waist is too high. So much to think of before finding an actual pair. The reason I picked this pair from Banana Republc is simply because of the model and color. Although regular pants will never be my thing, I am in love with any that are ankle length becuase they seem to suit me the best. This color is one of the many I dare to pull off. Being young given me the ability to wear some things that might not be the best choices one day, but at the momrnt they are the best ones and they give me the ability to feel free in whatever I wear. I did say before that I still don't know what my style is like but I am collecting all ideas by writing and posting pictures here.
Much love,
Lucy

Winter Florals

It has been a celebratory time for me and my family in the past day, and not only because of Christmas, but because my sister has arrived. The most I can tell you is shown in this picture and it is the lovely blouse I got from her. Knowing exactly what I want isn't the hardest thing, but then again. She couldn't miss with Zara, am I right?

A Day In The Life...

As my day is coming to an  end I am ready to get back to reading about Coco Chanel. My day wasn't put to much use (especially blogger wise), but thanks to pinterest I found some interesting things to keep my mind creative, and how to take breaks. Although I already have an almost entirely filled notebook with glued on Vogue cuttouts, I made one to inspire my days. It is slowly, but surely to be finished with some aspiring things necessacy to keep my day with work.
I need to play more dress up to show you guys how my style is evolving so be on the lookout for that!
Much love,
Lucy

Holiday Finds Under $100

Thinker's Block

I am a strange person. I usually have so much to say, but it is hard putting it out to you like this. I don't know who you are, or what you want to see, but I try to make this my own so I can actually find myself in something. I start writing in my head, but by the time it has to be on this blog, I don't have the same thing to say.
I have a style that hasn't evolved yet, and still am afraid of my style choices. One day I want to dress in some denim shorts, vans and a sweater, while another I would pick to wear a dress. Same with makeup, I love all of it, and want to wear it, but I am not sure when I should when not. I guess this is the reason you are on my blog, wondering if I could answer these questions for you. I rely on giving you ideas of my style for now, since I haven't reached the stage where I know exactly what I like and what I want. This is, style wise, of course.
If we are talking school wise, I am sure of that decision, and I have no regrets starting with Journalism. I guess you could say my only regret is that I am still not comfortable enough in what I wear or write. As I grow each and everyday, you will see improvement and much more from me to inspire you. It is the Holiday season so there is no time for disappointment.
Much love,
Lucy

What is Next?

Starting a blog is always kind of tough. For me that happened because I just love scrap booking so much. But, scrap booking about fashion, of course. The greatest thing I am excited for now is my sister's visit on Monday. I haven't seen her in almost 6 months, and I am used to being around her at all times.
I am also excited for the new semester where I will try so much harder than I did now. Yes, I had a successful summer term, but that was because I was just starting college, and everything was new and exciting for me! Since I decided to be a journalist a couple of months ago, my willingness to go through classes was so small that I am just happy it all ended. This is something I have devoted to now. Something that could help me.
As I get more into journalism I will learn so much more to show you, but for now, I hope my scrap booking and eventual photographs can show you who I am as a blogger.

Much love,
Lucy

Roses Are Gray

1 Dress 2 Looks

1 Dress 2 Looks by lkopcalic featuring stud earrings

Keeping a not-that-pricey-but-also-not-cheap dress looking glam is easier than it seems. Mixing with some cheap earrings, but a true clutch could be the way to go, or finding a vintage coat (for which the price wasn't even available for what it's worth) and combining it with a $100 pump from Zara is the way to go. Whatever you save or splurge on it's up to you. I found this dress beautiful and thought that one look would be too little for it. Enjoy!

On Pointe

On Pointe

I don't wear them much, but anything with a heel is brautiful for most women. It's not that I can't walk with them, but I always pick my Vans or Sam Edelman flats over any that just lay in closet waiting for me to have an excuse to wear them or get rid of them. Red pumps, with a point, are probably the sexiest of all. Especially in this bright red hue. Winter clothing can sometimes seem boring, but not with this shoe. If you ever feel like your outfit needs a "push", put on any bright shoe and it will instantly pop off!

Oribe-Hawk

Oribe-Hawk

Oribe-Hawk by lkopcalic featuring nars cosmetics

Keeping it simple, but sexy. I have really been into the black eye liner-turned eye shadow thing. Must seem like a lot of products, but Oribe is always a hit. Check out my Polyvore to know where to buy these amazing products!

Back To Black

Back To Black

Back To Black by lkopcalic featuring NYX

Smoldering, sexy is all I see in this look. I am a big fan of liner, and find these to be the best for a nice, thick line. Keeping it full on eyes, but simple on the rest of the face can be a miss or a hit; all depending on the way it is applied. This might be a black and white photograph, but it is the best example of great eye lining work. Blurred edges are what makes it sexy, but still soft. I can go on and off talking about this, but I think the photo speaks for itself. Enjoy, I will be posting more from polyvore!
Much love,
Lucy

Forever Soft

It seems only ideal to go shopping 2 days after starting a blog. Tonight I want to express my feelings toward soft and "hairy" sweaters.
I am a huge sweater fan, and finding one of this specific look and color is too good to be true! Going through a Forever 21 store is always an adventure, and I never know what I can find. This time I was lucky enough to get my hands on this number. How to style it is something I should be doing soon so you guys can see how I would wear this There were many other interesting sweaters, but this was the only one in my size. Although I live in sunny Florida, any place with an A/C feels like the temperature drops extremely. Fuzzy sweaters are comfortable (most of the time), look cute, and keep you warm. Wherever you are right now you need at least one sweater that you feel that way in outside of your home (also known as your comfort zone).
Well, that's my thought on this. I will be posting more throught the day, and will try to keep it as short and simple as possible.
Much love,
Lucy

The Future of Red

NARS Cinematic Lipstick - Future Red

Polyvore (aside from ShopStyle) is one of my favorite app or websites to view and shop for such things as a dark red lipstick. As this is a trend that has been going around for quite some time I still think we should take time to enjoy its beauty on this gorgeous color from the "NARS Cinematic Lipstick" collection. The shade is "Future Red" and it is definitely true. This deeper shade of red has takes over the position of the ruby red that is sexy, but sometimes not as daring.
As a woman, I find that even a lipstick shade could already be something that could make me feel like quite the daredevil. Although not as appropriate over summer as it is through Winter time, we should always be able the enjoy the beauty of such a deep and seductive lip color.

Much love,
Lucy

Fashion etc.

Making the first post on a blog is something that makes me delete, and rewrite it over and over again. I guess it is because I am never quite sure if it is good enough, or worthy of your time. I can tell you what I am interested in: fashion. I know, for most people shopping, and watching fashion shows is no more than a hobby, but I want a little more than that. I want to pursue a career in the almighty fashion industry.
I guess I want this first post to be a little welcome note, apart from the "about me" section which will always be on the sidebar, watching the posts go down from day to day. I will be frequent in writing have no school for a while, and I will do my best to post as many of my action pictures here. I hope to entertain some and inspire others.
Well, that is all from me today.
'till tomorrow,

Lucy
