To Write, or Not to Write?

O
The question that has been itching to be answered, deserve its time. It has been almost 2 weeks without posting anything. School had me occupied, and stressed, so I needed to concentrate on that. The time before the midterms is the worst, because there is so much in a short time span.
This is about as dressed up as I look, with fuschia on my lips. I haven't put my makeup and dress-up skills to work since I started spending a lot of time with my friends. To top it off, I have been makeup free most of the time. You never know when some lips need kissing, right?
Anyways, I will get back into it as soon as I get really into school again!
Much love, Lucy

Anything You Want

Usually, it's colors such as brown, light pink, beige, or any golden tones. Warmth: that's what I thought my eyes needed. After an afternoon of trying on many interesting colors; including purple, royal blue and torquise, I realized anything can look good if applied properly!
Full makeup, perfect party look.i decided it was time to try something new for a change. Might even get a chance to wear it, but fir now it's just a trial.
The beautiful mix of colors bring out my eyes, and the thick glittery black liner makes it look as dramatic as possible.
For this use I needed a little bit of 3 different palettes to match the perfect colors. I am happy with the results and that is all that matters. A nude lip seemed perfect because it softened the almost heavy lids. I hope you enjoy this!
Much Love,
Lucy

A short break?

I am sorry for not posting since Saturday but it has been an interesting and quick week. Instead of explaining myself I will make up for it. Today the look will be different and not like my usual style. I was trying out something new and this came out!
As basic as it looks, it is cute and comfy, but very simple. I wanted to show something that could make a "sweatpants, chilling at home" better and even appropriate for the World to see. What's the secret? The very tight t-shirt that accentuates the figure because the sweats don't do that job for you. Instead of sneaker heels, put on sassy wedges and pull it together with a ponytail.
If that seems too boring, big bangless could be the thing for you.

Bright pink ones will capture anyones attention and make the look more feminine and wearable. As unexpected and strange it may seem for my style, I wanted to give this look a go. If you're in a rush, or want to stay comfy, wear this for whatever you have planned for the day.

Much love,
Lucy

And It Was On

KMost of my inspiration derives from music and/or magazines I flip through when making my collage. This is something different and eldgier than what I usually wear. I guess you could call it Miley Cyrus, but it was bought before I even heard "We Can't Stop". So why am i sharing it now? I need to display it before being 100% certain of it working for me.
Both items are from PacSun. I doubt they still sell it, but if you are optimistic enough, give it a shot: they certainly have similar clothes. Going out of my comfort zone is the reason I never wore the top. Yes, I've worn the ahorts through the past summer but now I would feel more comfortable wearing them after working out.
Black and white photo? Becuase the shorts aren't in color so it seems suitable to present them in this light. Sometimes I wonder if it looks good together. But then again, it's all a matter of taste. If you
enjoy wearing such clothes this would be the perfect outfit.
The top has an attached bra to it, so it isn't necessary to put one on under. I guess that's what I fear. A nip-slip. I might not be gifted breast wise, but I have enough to be scared of such a thing. Also, the shorts are on the verge of being "booty shorts" so wearing this to school could be a risk in any way.
Makeup-wise, I did what I usually do. Thick liner and a pop of coral on my lips. I know, it's not even spring and I am wearing this now? I find this to be the style that's going to represent the next summer just as much as it did the past one. Want to risk? Try with this!
Much love,
Lucy

LBD Time!

Today I want to share with you my favorite dress. I can't remember the last time I owned a black dress so it was only a matter of time before I got one. This number is comfortable and cute.
I wanted to share it because I honestly haven't really had the chance to wear it but I want to, and dressing up and taking photographs seems like the perfect inspiration scenario, right? This could work with flats or heels, depending on your hair, makeup, and occasion, of course.
I was told by a close friend ti look like Drew Barrymore in thos pic, and the flattery is out of this world! Not only a beauty, but also an icon, she stays with her feet firm on the ground, starting her own makeup line, and staying beautiful.
I guess you could say she is one of my idols too.
But not to go on too much, this is an outfit that could be worn to any formal occasion because of how simple, yet put-up it is.
Much love,
Lucy

Was it Chanel or YSL?

Although very obvious, and expected, my mother is my style icon. I guess you could say I grew up with a woman who not only shared her love for me, but also her style. When I was little, I used to sneak up to her bedroom while she was at work, and put on her clothes and makeup. Yes, I did leave the closet in a mess, but that wasn't what caught her attention after coming home late; it was her Chanel lipstick smeared all-over the bathroom and the lid put on unproperly.
But that was my way of showing appreciation to her looks and of course, beauty items. And let's not forget using eyeliners as mustache makers.

After years of admiring her, and watching her picking out the perfect dress, shoes, or mascara, I learned to do it all on my own. Sure I wear what she buys for me the most, but it's the style that inspires it all.

Now, at this day and age, she is as beautiful and ever, and still the greatest inspiration a mother could me to her child. With a little more french chic, I would be the exact picture of her.

Much love,
lucy

Keep It Simple

Keep It Simple

CC face moisturizer

As simple as it seems, these staple pieces make up for a put-together and pretty look when you are not in the mood for a lot. In the honor of Grammy's, I am keeping my face makeup-free while enjoying the beautiful dresses and jewelry on the red carpet.

I'm Blue

Today's look was inspired by this gorgeous necklace I was given by my lovely sister. If you were wandering- yes, it is ZARA. Statement necklaces can make or break an outfit. The ideas scenario is wearing something simple, and dressing it up with complex jewelry, bags, or even shoes. What I do is put on some basics as my outfit, but use a royal blue necklace, with lots of detail, and a "power lip" to add some color.
Shoes shouldn't be the greater statement with this necklace, but with such simplicity it seems like the best twist. This is also a great way to dress up skinny jeans.

If you don't feel comfortable wearing such a statement, there are many bracelets, earrings, or even belts that can make your basic clothing "come alive".
I guess you could say this is my way pf welcoming Spring a little bit earlier.

Radiance In a Bottle

At one point in life, we all had trouble with our skin. Whether acne, dryness, or even sensitivity, it caused enough trouble to make us feel insecure or uncomfortable. I found my way out of that disconfort zone. Lately, it has all been about oil. I guess it's the fact it is winter time, and our skin is naturally missing some hydration, but it could still be oily and in need of oil. Make any sense? Probably not. I kept on watching my favorite beauty gurus, no matter their skin type, applying oil as if it's nobody's bussiness! It took me 4 trips to Sephora, and dull skin to realize I am in need of that hydration! Hearing about Josie Maran was easy since it has been on Sephora's isles for a while. But, picking the right oil? A little bit tricky. My skin is sensitive, and it doesn't need to much hydration, just protection.consider this Light version as skin balance. Have oily skin? Fight it with nutritious and hydrationg oil for your skin. Have very dry skin? Knock yourselves off with the original Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil.
Give it a shot; your skin will be grateful!

Oxblood Origins

Oxblood Origins

Living in Miami can be both a blessing and a curse. Think beautiful tropical climate, but then imagine the A/C working everywhere. As first world  problem as it sounds, it's real: finding the appropriate outfit isn't easy. I've never owned a pair of Martens, but I can't see why not? They keep my feet warm and stylish, plus they look edgy and cool. The boots are just proof of how sexy this color makes anything look sexy. If wearing the shoe or lipstick, make sure to BE CONFIDENT. This is all about being comfortable in your own skin and not being scared of all eyes on you. And trust me, all eyes will be on you here, but for all the right reasons. Although winter is coming to an end this color won't fade out.  Keep your eyes open for cute spring florals that make these boots look  gente and cute, rather than tough and sexy.

Much love,

Lucy

Eyes Wide Closed

It is Saturday night, hardly 10, and I am ready for bed. I haven't been photographing much lately because I don't own a professional camera (yet), but that day will come too. I just wanted to say that I am happy in school this semester, and am final starting with some things that could improve my future.
If there is one lesson I learned it is that it's not a bad thing to put yourself first. After all, if you can't make yourself happy, who will?
Other than that I am going to a Bastille concert in May and I am already excited as if it's tomorrow.
If you haven't heard of Bastille I suggest you google them because they are the only band I am interested in seeing in concert (apart from Croatian bands, but that doesn't count now). Not much to say in fashionable sense now. I have been wearing my broght Maybelline lipsticks and am getting compliments for that. It is great taking risks, especially if they make you feel good. Even if it's just your nail polish color that's effrctive, WORK IT and I promise you, you will feel good.
Much love,
Lucy

Some Color In Life

Although I have been busy with school and then spending time with my sister at home, I need to write, because that is what keeps me going. Today's theme is: bright colors. Although I have trouble keeping lipstick on all day (and it isn't because of the staying power), I stull love the idea of having a pop of color. These two lipsticks are by Maybelline, and are recently bought. My personal opinion is that it brightens up my face, and gives me the confidence I need to keep on going. I will continue posting outfits, and even makeup looks as soon as my allergies calm down. Until then, enjoy these hues offered by one of my favorite drugstore brands.
Much love,
Lucy

New Semester

School has started again, so I have been devoting all of my time to that and my sister. I live in the humid city of Miami, but yesterday the tenperature dropped extremely. I still haven't been able to show my true style (mix of everything), but I am counting on even red vans and a warm hoodie to do the trick. Since I spend most of my day there I am definitely dressing very casual and will continue to do so. So, let's talk about fashion some other time!
Much love,
Lucy

New Me, New You

The beginning of a new year is something we treat as a fresh start by doing some things that make it feel like something new and as if all of yesterday's troubles disappear. Let me be the one to agree with that.  It's true, starting all over literally is almost impossible, but continuing life with new decisions and new goals is the best thing you can do for yourself. I see this year as a beginning because of my new major, most likely first job, and much more. I know my dedication to this blog might seem off, but playing dress up and photographing myself is probably as hard as it gets for a fashion blogger. I hope you all have a successful year!
Much love,
Lucy
